Sunday Adult Bible Study Summer Classes 2008

Sunday Classes

Hey, What About . . .?

Hey, What About . . .?

During the hot summer months Pastor Bryan, Pastor Mark and Deacon Dave will be tackling some hot potato topics and they would like to have your input.  They’re calling this class: “Hey Pastor/Deacon what about  . . .?”

If you have an idea for a topic please submit it to the church office to the attention of Pastor Bryan.  If there is question you’ve always wondered about but have been afraid to ask, now is the time.

This class will meet on Sunday mornings
at 9:30 and 11:00 am at the OP Mission
and at 10:15 at the Stilwell Mission.

40 Days

“40 Days”
Class meets in Room 203 at 9:30 am.

While many have written about the Resurrection itself, few have delved deeply into the forty days Jesus spent on the Earth after his death-defying exit from the grave.  The incomparable magnitude of that miracle tends to overshadow the great days that followed.  But, how fascinating are the lessons to be learned beyond that stone!

With a passionate believer’s heart and an investigator’s flair for finding rich truths in the often-overlooked details, noted author Alton Gansky examines here every recorded event that happened from the moment Christ left the tomb until his glorious ascension to heaven.  What the reader gains is a fresh excitement for the Resurrection story, a greater knowledge and contextual grasp of Scripture, and, best of all, a closer personal relationship with Jesus.

The Best Is Yet to Come

The Best Is Yet to Come

This summer Pastor Bryan will be leading a study on the book entitled: The Best is Yet to Come.

This book focuses attention on seven disciplines of the Christian faith:

  • witness,
  • worship,
  • connections with other believers,
  • prayer,
  • Bible study,
  • service and
  • giving.

This book will form the basis of study and application from the pulpit this fall and will be explored in small groups at that time as well.

In preparation for this time of growing, Pastor Bryan is looking for some people to explore this book with him this summer.  Participants will be asked to consider being a small group leader this fall, however, this is not a requirement for participating this summer.

Classes will begin on
Wednesday, June 18, 2008
in Room 201 at 6:00 pm.

Contact Pastor Bryan for more details!
