A Guest Information Coffee Hour will be held the first Sunday of the month at 9:30 in the Hearth Room (209). It provides an overview of all the educational, fellowship and special interest opportunities at our church. All visitors are welcome! The next Guest Information Coffee Hour will be May 5, 2008.
The Guest Information Coffee Hour is held on the first Sunday of the month at 10:15 at our Stilwell Mission. The next Guest Information Coffee Hour will be May 5, 2008.
On Wednesday, April 23 at 7:30 p.m. the Concert Choir from Lutheran High School of St. Charles County, St. Peters, MO will perform at Bethany as the first stop of their tour through Missouri, Kansas, and Colorado. The 32 voice choir under the direction of Ms. Jen Brauer has received various music awards in past years, but more importantly, is excited about sharing their faith. The tour theme for this year is "Trust and Never Doubt." A free-will offering will be collected de defray the choir's tour expenses.
Host families are needed to provide overnight sleeping accommodations for 18 pairs of students or chaperones on Wednesday, April 23, breakfast on the morning of April 24, and a ride back to Bethany Lutheran on Thursday morning. If you would be willing to host a pair (or more) of performers, please contact Sara Oberle at 913-648-2228 ext. 129.
During bad weather conditions, monitor the TV or radio school closing listings. If it is announced that Shawnee Mission School District day or evening classes/activities are canceled due to weather, the education programs at Bethany will also be canceled. Bethany will not be listed in the closings and you will not be personally notified.
This policy does not apply to worship services.
Use your good judgment to stay safe. If classes and activities are not officially canceled but you feel conditions are unsafe, please do not feel compelled to attend.
